Welcome To The Home Of California Riptide Fastpitch

California Riptide is looking for committed players who have a passion to play collegiately.  We stress commitment, team values, family and hard work.  Discipline and organization is part of every day life and we hold our players accountable.  Our organization takes this very seriously and take it very seriously seeing our players move on to college.  It's up to the player to make sure they follow their collegiate goal.  We are here to help them along the way.  We require 100% commitment and accountability for each and every player.

What does that mean? Good academic grades, additional work away from team practice. Our staff takes this serious we expect players as well as families to take the commitment of softball seriously too.

College does it work.  Your player will have to commit to academics as well as working hard at the position they play including defensively.  We work hard here at California Riptide to help our players achieve collegiate placement.  If your player works hard, we work hard right along with them.

Student-Athlete Signs Collegiate National Letter of Intent

Niaja Nolan '17 - Softball
Niaja Nolan is a natural athlete and picked up her first softball at the age of 13. In just four short years, she has taken the sport by storm, and is proud to earn a collegiate scholarship in a short period of time, after verbally committing to Howard, her dream school, during her junior year.

"Howard is the number one historically black college in the country, and me choosing a HBCU was the most fulfilling thing I could have ever done," Niaja said. "I wanted a diverse environment where I could see successful, determined, and unique people achieve similar goals to mine, and in the same breath, be able to indulge in my culture. Also, I've always wanted to go far for college and go to the East Coast, and Howard has a great medical program."

California Riptide Family wishes you the best! Go Bisons!
